Come and experience what life was like in London over 200 years ago and find out how John Wesley dedicated his life to helping those in need.

This event is part of the BBC’s Civilizations Festival.

We will have re-enactors in Georgian costume, object handling and children’s craft workshops throughout the day which will tell the story of what life was like in London at that time, and what Wesley did to make it better.

John Wesley stood up in the face of adversity throughout his life, preaching against the transatlantic slave trade, opening the first medical dispensary in London, raising money for the needy and setting up schools and hospitals.

Do the issues that Wesley campaigned for still exist in London today? You decide.
